Bio

Having been called to the bar in 2007, I began my legal journey in 2008. With an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Sports Management from Acadia University, I furthered my education by earning a Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of Windsor. Originally thinking about heading into sports law or even becoming an agent for athletes, I was given the opportunity to single handedly grow the real estate practice area of a local firm. I quickly discovered an aptitude and joy for working in residential and commercial real estate and then established my own thriving practice based in Burlington that services clients all over Ontario.

My dynamic team and I have accumulated over 15 years of experience in various legal areas, with a focus on residential and commercial real estate, private lending and investing, Wills, Powers of Attorney, Estate Administration, corporate structuring, business transactions, and litigation matters. We have successfully handled landlord-tenant disputes, small claims, and personal injury cases. Additionally, our expertise extends to intellectual property, trademarks, and patents, ensuring that we provide comprehensive legal solutions for clients with diverse needs.

Who do I serve?

We work with people, helping them with significant life events such as real estate transactions, business growth, idea protection, planning for one’s passing or incapacitation, and executing one’s final wishes after death.  We treat people the way we, ourselves, want to be treated, with respect, dignity, and positive energy.  We are constantly working to improve upon our clients’ experience by focusing on three key areas:

Communication – At Carson Law, we understand that people have certain expectations regarding receiving quick and accurate information.  Therefore, we look to keep our clients informed during every step of the process. We also engage multiple social media platforms to ensure that there is no shortage of opportunities for our audience to be able to interact and develop a relationship with us, ask us questions, or receive advice and information.

Technology – While the Law Society of Ontario requires us to maintain hard copy (paper) records of the files we work on, Carson Law continues to utilize as much technology as we are allowed.  We do this to make it as convenient as possible to collect required file details, provide real-time client updates, and send out final closing reports and packages in a timely fashion.

Education – Carson Law endeavors to not just provide a service to clients, but to also do our best to educate them about their matter(s) and how we are operating in their best interests. We are working to establish a perpetually evolving resource centre that will bring an increased level of transparency to what we do, as well as distribute valuable information relating to industries that concern our areas of legal focus.
