Join us for the Affordable Housing Summit, Supply Chain Expo and Skilled Trades Career Fair held in collaboration with The University of Toronto from May 24-26, 2024. This summit has been meticulously crafted to demystify Canada’s housing challenges while formulating innovative solutions. We are set to host approximately 300 community stakeholders such as the UnitedWay, Rescon, the College of Carpenters and Allied Trades, the Altus Group, HousingNowTO, CentennialCollege, City Of Toronto, TTC, the University of Toronto – EaRTH District and others along with various branches of government.

This collaborative housing event will to welcome a multitude of over 7,000 attendees, who are eager to find innovative solutions to the pressing housing challenges of our time. Alongside exploring the potential of off-site modular construction, the event will also highlight other groundbreaking advancements in the field, such as mass timber, construction robotics, advanced building materials, and 3D printing. This summit represents an opportunity to not only expand your knowledge but also to forge meaningful professional connections. Together, we can actively contribute to a collective strategy aimed at achieving equitable housing solutions, not only in Ontario but throughout Canada.

The summit is structured around several crucial areas, providing a comprehensive approach to address key issues and foster impactful discussions.

Canada’s housing challenges have not gone unnoticed, and the government has demonstrated a commitment to addressing the affordable housing issue. The HousingTO 2020-2030 Action Plan and Ontario’s commitment to build 1.5 million housing units by 2031 by implementing the recommendations of the Housing Affordability Task Force. This framework provides an approach spanning the entire spectrum of housing concerns, from homelessness to rental, fractional ownership housing, and extending to long-term care for our cherished seniors. In addition, renowned experts and policymakers have proposed a multitude of solutions, including modular housing, streamlined development processes, and reimagining restrictive zoning. This plan has set ambitious targets for the coming decade.

The event is well-suited for real estate investors, individuals looking to enter the trades, those with a passion for addressing the housing crisis, mortgage brokers, real estate brokers, government agencies, and non-profit organizations. The Supply Chain Expo will showcase cutting-edge, sustainable products that are set to revolutionize the housing and supply chain industries. In addition, the Skilled Trades Career Fair will implement a holistic,multi-sector strategy to stimulate economic growth at the community level, concentrating on narrowing economic disparities while cultivating a sustainable inclusive vital economic. The event will conclude with a bus tour sponsored by the TTC to 3 affordable housing sites across the city.
